Top three favorite highlighters

Do you like having a pop of highlighter on the tops of your cheeks? Blinding people? Well your gonna love this post! Let's get into this. Top three favorite highlighters I love to use and that you definitely need in your collection.

Highlighter is definitely my favorite thing to do in my makeup routine, it just kinda completes the look I guess. I have went through quite a few highlighters but I can't live without these ones I'm going to show you all today, these are the ones I reach for on a daily basis! If you don't use highlight in your makeup routine well what are you doing girl? Read this and go treat yourself! :)

No.1 Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder

Wow that was a mouthful to write but I know highlighting is my favorite step but if I'm having a natural makeup look or wearing little makeup I don't like to go over the top with highlight so this highlighter is honestly the best thing, It gives the perfect healthy glow and adds that pop that I always look for even if it's just a natural look. It is a baked highlighter and can be used as a subtle shimmer all over your face or as I use it just on my tops of my cheeks. It is also very buildable. I use the shade 010- Light Infusion and guys the best part is it is only 5.50. I cannot recommend this enough it is highly pigmented for the price and gives that perfect glow.

No.2 Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette
You have definitely heard of this, it is loved by almost everyone and if you haven't heard of it "Girl where have you been" but yes this is just the perfect palette for you. No.1 it is stunning packaging in this mirrored gold very sleek case hence the name haha! No.2 The pigmentation enough said!  It contains 4 highlighters to choose from, one cream, two baked powders and one silky shimmer powder. It is unbelievably pigmented, one swipe and you scream it is just amazing. It is definitely not for the subtle glow lovers for sure it is for the people who just want to blind people it is so bright and shimmery. At first I wasn't sure because of the purple shade and who knew that it is now my favorite shade in the palette. It doesn't come out as a purple shade it is more of like the perfect champagne shade. It is definitely my holy grail drugstore highlighter one of the best out there and that's saying something. Also incredible for inner corner highlight. It is €12.49 and can be bought in Boots or if your in England, Superdrug!

Ecliptic  this is the cream shade in the palette which is probably the least used for me just because I'm not the biggest fan of the formula but I sometimes do use it over my foundation before powder for a natural look!

Hemisphere My absolute favorite shade just gives that powerful blinding highlight it is a perfect champagne color with a tint of lilac.

Equinox Baked warm orange shade perfect with a warm smokey eye in my opinion. It is meant to be a dupe for the Becca Champagne Pop, from pictures they look almost identical!

And last but not least:
Subsolar  A gold/yellow shade not as pigmented as hemisphere in my opinion, perfect for inner corner highlight and down the bridge of your nose.

No.3 Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter

Brand new to my collection I have it about 2 weeks nearly and honestly I can't put it down, it is the perfect summer gold shade with a frost finish and the shade is called "You Light up my Life". My sister brought this back for me in Rome, she bought it in Sephora and I'm not sure on the price but I'm guessing from the website it was around 25 and it is so worth it honestly. Pigmentation is just spot on and like I said perfect for summer with a nice coral blush beside it. This is definitely a highlighter that will blind people! Can't recommend this enough.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, these are honestly such amazing highlighters. Let me know down below what your favorite highlighter is? Would you try these highlighters out?  I will see you guys in my next post!

What's in my Bag?

Are you nosy like me and like to see what's in people's bag well keep reading..

I am the type of girl when it comes to handbags that there is only the things I need and nothing more, unlike the other type of girls where they bring everything and the kitchen sink!(Not a bad thing though)  I am very minimal when it comes to my handbag and I suppose that's not a bad thing and I'm the girl who seems to never have a messy bag, I usually throw receipts and papers and all sorts away the night before. So let's get in to what is exactly in my bag..

This is my bag, it is from River Island. I believe I bought it around the end of April for €34.00 which is not that bad of a price for such good quality. It has gold tone studs all around the front of the bag and a gold hardware label branding River Island. It is a backpack style handbag which are so on trend for the past couple of months, they are so much handier than ordinary handbags as there is two straps which are also adjustable to suit you, it's an equal balance to your shoulders unlike one strap bags.

There is two pockets with gold zips which zip so smoothly, I know that like sounds weird but I find if they zip so smoothly with no pressure it means it's very good quality or maybe that's just me. There is also gold detailing along the bottom of the backpack where there is two zips which are not actually pockets there just for design of the bag. This bag is currently on sale at the moment for only €20 and I definitely recommend you go and get it, it is the perfect little bag for going out to town or just out and about. Very roomy for the things that you genuinely need, and very comfortable to carry.
Enough about the bag let's get into what is exactly in my bag.

Get the bag here: https://eu.riverisland.com/women/bags--purses/backpacks/white-studded-mini-backpack

Purse

The first thing you will see if you peek into my bag is my purse, it takes up the most space but it is a must! (Well if your like me and always shopping!) I only found this recently at the bottom of my wardrobe and I forgot I even had it and I love it. I feel like it is bright and perfect for summer(But who even looks at your purse, at least I know it's cute) It is from River Island and I believe it was €25.00. Sadly it was bought ages ago and is no longer available. It is black but the main part of the purse is the bright, neon yellow which features in the rim of the purse and detailing across the body of the purse and a tassel hanging from the purse with a gold tone RI sign branding river island.

Makeup Bag

Next up is the second biggest thing in my bag which is my make-up bag, now I don't always bring this with me but if I'm going out somewhere and I know I'll be out all day then I will need to bring this with me. It is from Penneys/Primark and I got this ages ago but it is so cutee! It is the perfect size for everyday products and I love it!

And the products I carry in this are..

Concealer: Rimmel "Wake Me Up", my top favorite concealer I have went through 5 tubes of this, it is the perfect shade for me, I'm in the shade True Ivory. I just bring this just in case I need to fix my makeup! You have probably heard of this and it's matching foundation.

Real techniques complexion sponge: Can you believe I only purchased this about a month and a half ago and I'm in love! I always used a buffing brush to blend my foundation and after I picked this up I did not go back. It is a must! I just bring this to blend in my concealer if I need to fix up my makeup throughout the day.

Powder: Rimmel "Stay Matte Powder", Don't know what to say about this really all it does is sets my foundation and concealer and does a pretty good job! I just use the transparent shade. I bring this to touch up on my makeup throughout the day and definitely my must need product always in my bag.

Mascara: Rimmel "Lash Sensational" All I can say about this is GO AND GET IT if you haven't already! The best mascara ever. Just in case I need to apply more mascara if I'm touching up my makeup!

Highlighter: Too faced "You light up my life". Because why wouldn't this be in your makeup bag, you gotta put more highlighter on your face when your touching up your makeup if your like me. More highlight the better!

Lipstick

Your probably wondering why this isn't in my makeup bag, well because I usually throw it in my bag the minute before I head out the door and I like to be able to grab it to reapply it easily if I'm in a rush cause your girl needs her lipstick on all the time! Mac "Velvet Teddy" As you can see it is nearly gone.

Perfume

Need this everywhere I go well if I don't forget it. This is Marc Jacobs Honey and the bottle is just the cutest thing I've ever seen it's showing a bee at the gold branding and the cap of the bottle is a yellow and white polka dot design. It is a floral, fruity fragrance.

Sunglasses

Pretty much straight forward need them if it's sunny out but chances are I don't need them because it's Ireland but I always bring them just in case! These are from Aluxe by Rosie Connolly.

Plasters

Yes I'm the girl who brings the plasters. I bought a pair of River Island shoes and they kept giving me pains at the back of my ankle so I bought these straight after town and they have stayed in my bag ever since just in case.

Hand cream

And last but not least is my handy EOS hand cream. Yep does the job at cleaning my hands and all that good stuff.

So that's everything in my bag. Hope you enjoyed peeking about in my bag and let me know down below what type of bag carrier are you? See you guys in my next post!

Best dressed at the Glamour Awards 2017

Hello! I decided to give you guys an extra blog post this week all about the fashion at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards! The Glamour Awards is hosted by Glamour magazine every year to hand out different awards to honor fabulous and inspirational women in the categories of sport, music, business, entertainment, education, politics, medicine and science. There is also an award that goes to Man of the Year. History lesson done let's move on to the fashion!

In my opinion, fashion on the red carpet was a huge success on the night. Celebrities wore stunning designs that caught my eye as I was scrolling through Instagram. I want to share with you the designs that I truly fell in love with and wished that I had a chance to wear them. I didn't dislike any of the celebrities outfits that night, so I just decided to write about the best dressed as I couldn't find fault with any of the outfits. I came down to five beautiful women I'm gonna be talking about.

Tanya Burr

Tanya Burr attended the Glamour awards wearing an elegant and sophisticated but looking absolutely gorgeous in this lace midi dress by Erdem London and black peep toe heels by Gianvitorossi. A formal inspiration she has given us. Her hair wavy and went for a dark smokey eye and nude lips.

Holly Willoughby

Holly tops the list for me, She just looks drop dead gorgeous. She is wearing a floor length dress with a floral design which is of course a major trend for the upcoming summer. Very colorful with bright pinks as the flowers and all types of green from olive to more of an evergreen towards the top of the dress as leaves. A small white belt to give the dress more of a shape than straight down which is very flattering. Dress is by Raquel Balencia. She also went for a super natural makeup look which I totally love.

Caroline Flack

All I can say here is first of all Caroline was feeling very confident with her dress choice indeed. Guessing she is still feeling the summer vibes as Love Island is just after starting. She went for a very exposing mustard tiered dress by own the look. It's a very different and unique to the others on the red carpet. You can definitely notice her tan which goes along very nicely with her dress.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie looked stunning in a sheer black gown with feather from the knee down as the hemline. Words can't describe how this dress is so beautiful. Deep V neckline really added to the dress. Dress was custom made by Alberta Ferretti.

Alesha Dixon

Alesha looked absolutely flawless with a brave look. Extremely deep V more of a like a chest opening and she wore a black extra strap bralette, the jumpsuit was by Tony Ward from the Envol collection. Mesh on the sleeves which really added to the look. With red embroidery all over it which again is a hugely popular trend.

So that's all of my favorite looks from the Glamour awards. Comment down below what was your favorite look? Talk to you guys in my next post! I will leave you here with some more looks from the awards night

Gingham. Gingham. Gingham

Have you seen this print before? Anywhere? You definitely have. It is everywhere and when I say everywhere I mean it. You walk into a shop and it's there on everything, trousers, off the shoulder tops, dresses, skirts and even swimwear, bikinis or one piece it's on it. You either love it or hate it but if you love it well just keep reading...

You'll be happy to know (if you love this print) that it is going to be a major trend through spring/summer. It has been seen on spring runways for 2017 such as House of Holland and Prada. As soon as this classic, checkered style made the runways, high street stores such as River island, Penneys/Primark, New look have brought them into their stores.

Celebrities didn't take long to start wearing this because now you seen them in magazines, Instagram and so on with this huge trend. Such as Miley Cyrus at the One Love Manchester concert on 4 June. She came out performing with the lovely Ariana Grande. She looked beautiful wearing a black slightly cropped t-shirt saying "I love Manchester", Flared Gingham trousers and block heels with again the Gingham print. I found a similar pair to these from Prettylittlething but the flare at the bottom is more wide but I personally really like them are their only 20€. Get these trousers here
You could dress them with a nice white button up shirt and a pair of black block heels because block heels are on trend and also they are much more comfortable to wear, or you can ,dress them down I would wear them with some nice white trainers and a slouchy white t-shirt and a leather jacket if it's chilly and there you have it, an on-trend outfit that makes you look like you have spent so long choosing an outfit. It is very minimal, chic look in my opinion.

I'm gonna leave you hear with my favorite gingham dress that I definitely need to purchase. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post and I will talk to you guys in my next blogpost!

Zara

Tanya burr poses beautifully on the edge of a step wearing this frilly gingham mini dress from Zara and it is 39.95€ and this is currently at the top of my wish list. The perfect summer espadrilles that she has on are from Castañer.
